Feathery Leaves of Fennel
Fennel is a well known herb and popularly used with Italian cooking. Whole plant from root bulbs to stalks and leaves are edible include their seeds. And for medical usages, they used for reducing stomach gas, for cramps, for bloating and for colic of infants.
Fennel is an easy to grow plant and prefer to grow in relatively dry soil area and can be often seen in wild area.

Echinacea "White Swan"
Echinacea-White Swan is an easy to grow perennial plant and prefers to grow in full sun area. It grows up to 90cm (3 feet) height and blooms long lasting white flowers from early summer to fall season. White Swan is pretty durable against heat and dry condition and you can grow this plant in most of any soil condition include clay. The showy white flowers of Echinacea “White Swan” attract butterflies and the seeds of this plant attract small singing birds well. Echinacea-White Swan is a white flower version of Purple Coneflower. Echinacea is also one of well known useful herbal plant.
Artemisia 'Powis Castle'
Silver-Gray Foliage of Powis Castle
Powis Castle is a kind of Artemisia (Artemesia) and an evergreen perennial plant. Powis Castle grows up to 90cm (3 feet) heights and 3m (10 feet) width if not properly pruned. This plant prefers to grow poor to moderately poor, dry to moderately dry and well drained soil with full sun. So Powis Castle is good for poor soil garden and almost not need to take care of this plant. Powis Castle is used for enjoying the silver-gray foliage for contracting with other green foliage plant and its strong aroma.
Yellow Flowers of St. John’s Wort
Hypericum Perforatum is commonly known as St. John’s Wort and well known as an herbal plant for depression. St. John’s Wort is found in many countries of temperate area and grows up to 90cm (3 feet) to 120cm (4 feet) height and has bright yellow flowers (as you can see on the picture) through mid spring to summer. Even though this plant is planted for extracting medical compound in some areas, it is commonly found in meadow area and often treated as invasive plant.
Red Flowers of Bee Balm
Bee Balm is a perennial well known herbal plant among Native American. Bee Balm grows 90cm (3 feet) height in relatively dry area and prefers full sun or partial shade area. Bee Balm is easy to grow plant and often used as herbal tea by dry up the whole plant except its root. Bee Balm bloom pink or red color flowers in summer. Bee Balm is native to North America.
Flowers of Lamb's Ear
Lamb’s Ear is a perennial herb and has tiny red or white flowers in late spring to early summer and they are not showy at all as you can see on the photo. You can see another picture of Lamb’s Ear.
Flower of Purslane
Purslane is a close plant to Portulaca and have similar flowers. And it is easy to take care of this plant like Portulaca.
In USA this flower often treated as wild plant but Purslane is very nutritious valuable plant and eaten in many area of the world. And also this plant is treated as herbs for liver.
