Baldcypress is a deciduous tree unlike other cypresses, so the Bald cypress drop leaves in winter as the name implying. This tree grows up to 40m (120 feet) height and 2m (7 feet) trunk diameter even though the growing rate of this tree is slow. Baldcypress prefers to grow along rivers, streams, creeks and swamp lands of south east to Texas area. Baldcypress is a very valuable tree for human and for the wild lives; The seeds of this tree are very important food for many kind of birds such as ducks and cranes.
