Sasaba is a Japanese word and means bamboo leaves in Japan. The leaves of Sasaba False Holly Tea Olive form long and spiny at the ends of them so the name of this false holly become Sasaba.
Japanese Fatsia
Japanese Fatsia grows well even in shadow area and the height is about 3m (10 feet). It is not difficult to grow in your yard. And Japanese Fatsia is also good as an indoor plant because this plant is ever green and have good looking large leaves.
We call this plant as 八手(Yatsude). 手 means palm. Their leaves look like big palms so we call them like this.
