Flowers of Japanese rose

We call Japanese Rose as 山吹 (yamabuki). This plant is pretty popular in Japan and we can find it easily while we are strolling a trail of woods in spring season, due to its bright yellow flowers. The Flowers of this picture are double flowering type of Japanese Rose and there is also single blooming type one. Usually double flowering Japanese Rose produces no seeds while the single blooming one produces fruits and seeds.

Japanese Rose is easy to grow deciduous plant and grows 1.8m (6 feet) height and width in full sun to shade area. And blooms in spring and autumn season (through the spring is the main blooming season).

Purple Platycodon Flower

Platycodon is well known as Balloon Flower or Bellflower. This flowering plant is an easy to grow perennial plant and prefers to grow in full sun or partial shade area of well drained soil. The names of Bellflower and Balloon Flower are delivered from the bud shapes of the plant as you can see on these pictures (they are look like tiny balloons or bells). We call this flower as 桔梗(kikyou) in Japan and often used as girl name as you may already know from some Japanese anime.

Purple Flowers of Passion Flower

Passion Flowers are perennial vine plants and know several species in the world. Echinacea "White Swan"

Flowers of Buddleia Davidii - White Ball

Buddleia Davidii “White Ball” is a perennial deciduous shrub and a version of Dwarf White Butterfly Bush. Pink Flower of Firewitch Dianthus

Dianthus is a group of carnation and very familiar as a garden flower. Sargent Viburnum

Sargent Viburnum is also known as Sargent cranberry bush. This plant is a deciduous shrub and grows 4.5m (15 feet) height and width and prefers to grow in full sun or partial shade area.
