Flower of Gardenia

Gardenia is an evergreen shrub and blooms strong fragrant white flowers in early summer. There are over 140 Gardenia species over the world and most of them grow 2m (6~7 feet) height and width. This plant is loved by many gardeners because of its fragrance. In Japan also Gardenia is popular and we call it as “Kuchinashi (梔子)” and we have popular song of “Kuchinashi”.
