Butcher's Broom

This photo is Butcher’s Broom. Butcher’s Broom is a little bit funny and strange name as a name of plant for me. This plant is also known as Box Holly, Sweet Broom, Knee Holly and these are much more normal for me.

Even though the name of this shrub is funny, Butcher’s Broom is being used in medical area in several ways and also young shoots are often treated as vegetable in many countries.

Camellia Tree

This is Japanese Camellia tree. Camellias have flowers in winter season. We call this plant as “Tsubaki (椿)” and we use their oil in several ways such as cosmetic etc in Japan. I think most of Japanese know this plant and we love this as a garden tree.
