Escallonia is a fast growing evergreen shrub and reaches 2.4m (8 feet) height and width in a few years. Escallonia blooms in early summer to midsummer (white or pink color flowers depend on cultivars) and attract bees, butterflies and birds well. Escallonia is a low maintenance landscaping plant and used for several purpose such as a hedge plant or rock garden shrub.
