Autumn Fern prefers to grow in shade area and need moderately moist condition. You need rich soil but don’t add lime. This fern grows 90cm (3 feet) height and width and shows us beautiful evergreen (semi-evergreen) foliage through the year.

We call fern as “羊歯 (Shida)” in Japan and we eat young shoot in spring season. Autumn Fern is native to Japan and China.
