We call Japanese Rose as 山吹 (yamabuki). This plant is pretty popular in Japan and we can find it easily while we are strolling a trail of woods in spring season, due to its bright yellow flowers. The Flowers of this picture are double flowering type of Japanese Rose and there is also single blooming type one. Usually double flowering Japanese Rose produces no seeds while the single blooming one produces fruits and seeds.
Japanese Rose is easy to grow deciduous plant and grows 1.8m (6 feet) height and width in full sun to shade area. And blooms in spring and autumn season (through the spring is the main blooming season).
