Lenten Rose is the English name of this plant but this plant is actually not the family of rose (Actually Lenten Rose is a member of butter cup family). Lenten Rose is a perennial evergreen plant and prefers to grow in shade area and grows up to 45 cm (1.5 feet) height and 60cm (2 feet) width. So this plant is often used as ground cover for shade area, but as the name implying, Lenten Rose blooms colorful beautiful flowers in late winter through early spring and you can enjoy them too.
