Flower of Okra
Even though Okra is pretty popular vegetable, this plant is also one of flowering plants and close species of Hibiscus. And this plant is also known as lady’s fingers. As you can see on these pictures, flowers of Okra are pretty beautiful. Okra is an annual or perennial tropical or semi-tropical plant and grows up to 2m (6~7 feet) height. And the edible parts (seed pods) grow rapidly and reach up to about 20cm (8inches) long and become fibrous and woody. So for eating them, you have to pick them up in early stages of their growth.
