Florida Anise is also called Purple Anise, Stink Bush and Star Anise etc. This plant is a evergreen shrub and grows about 3m(10 feet) height and width and blooms about 5cm diameter star shape flowers in spring season. These flowers are attractive though they have somewhat fishy order as the name “Stink Bush” imply. Florida Anise prefers to grow on well drained moist soil of shade or partial shade area.

Florida Anise is easy to germinate from seeds but you can propagate this shrub by cutting the branches and stick them into the soil. They easily start rooting and grow quicker than from seeds.
