Pileated Woodpecker
These photos are for male Pileated Woodpecker. I took these pictures in my yard. Pileated Woodpecker rarely visits (once or twice a year in winter season) my yard when it become difficult to find their foods. This time he was eating berries of dogwood as you can see on the picture.
Pileated Woodpecker is one of the biggest woodpecker in North America and the size is almost same as crows and usually they stay same place around year. So I think this Pileated Woodpecker has his territory around here.
